As a Senior Staff Airworthiness Engineer, you will lead the technical airworthiness planning, execution, and verification efforts toward certification for both US and international customers. This includes the documentation and reporting of airworthiness analyses, tests, and inspections to demonstrate compliance with airworthiness requirements.





Salary Range:  Base + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)

Location guidelines-
Onsite = 5 days/week
Hybrid = Several days in the office
Remote = Remote but able to come to the office as requested for business needs

    • Lead the technical airworthiness planning and verification efforts, including airworthiness plans, certification, compliance, and other certification needs for complex unmanned systems
    • Plans and executes focused initiatives toward the documentation and presentation of airworthiness analyses, tests, inspections, and detailed reporting to demonstrate compliance with airworthiness requirements
    • Reviews and coordinates across functional teams, both internal and external, to support requirements, desire, fabrication, testing, deployment, operation, maintenance, and end of life activities
    • Ensure the active compliance with airworthiness process and procedures set by the Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
    • Support cross functional safety and reliability initiatives, including the development and application of the Safety Management System (SMS)
    • Provide guidance and recommend solutions to design, development, and testing to verify airworthiness requirements
    • 7+ years of experience in airworthiness engineering related field.
    • B.S. degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline, such as Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
    • Experience with Systems Engineering practices and principals, including writing, organizing, and reviewing block diagrams.
    • You are organized and methodical.
    • You are a strong communicator, both written and verbally.
    • You have a demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others
    • Experience with international civil and military certification organizations (ICAO, EASA, NATO, EDA, etc.)
    • Experience with ground and flight testing from component to system level
    • Unmanned aircraft design or test experience
    • Military aviation safety experience
