As a Senior Staff Systems Test Engineer, you will lead the verification of our vertical take-off unmanned aerial vehicle, demonstrating flightworthiness and mission capability. You will work cross-functionally in a dynamic and fast paced environment to help to plan and conduct UAV ground testing in support of product development and prototyping.

Salary Range:  Base + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)

Location guidelines-
Onsite = 5 days/week
Hybrid = Several days in the office
Remote = Remote but able to come to the office as requested for business needs

    • Establish and lead program level test strategies throughout development lifecycle to include:
    • Development of program test milestones and associated artifact delivery
    • Definition and management of test infrastructure
    • Establish best engineering practices and common operating procedures
    • Plan and coordinate ground and flight test plans

    • In addition to an overall technical understanding of aircraft design principles and subsystem functionality, Candidate will have demonstrated experience in the following focus areas:
    • Software integration testing
    • Hardware-In-the-loop test environments
    • Rapid productions/manufacturing/assembly line acceptance testing
    • Ground and System-level functionality testing
    • Act in test conductor/director capacity in support of readiness reviews, flight test events, envelope expansion, SRD verification
    • Support test data recovery, analysis, troubleshooting
    • Demonstrated expertise in test event / resource management
    • Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
    • B.S. degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline, such as Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Technology-related degree plan also acceptable, e.g., Electrical Engineering, Aeronautics or Information Technology. Degrees with Manufacturing Testing competency will be considered
    • 5+ years of experience with ground and/or flight test teams /maintainer or in a test related field.
    • Organized and methodical with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated record of working hard, being trustworthy, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others
    • Proficiency in MATLAB
    • Experience with code repositories such as Git, Mercurial, SVN, or ADO
    • Experience building or prototyping small aircraft or RC components
    • Previous UAV operations and/or maintenance
    • Previous environmental test experience, familiarity with MIL-810
