Software Co-op: Machine Learning Operations (January 2025 Term)

Your New Role and Team
Sanctuary, a world leader in building AI-based control systems for humanoid robots, is looking to hire a Software Engineer Co-op student for our Data Collection and ML Operations team. Reporting to the Data Collection and ML Operations Lead, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of the operation of our data collection pipeline, and the process of training, testing, deploying and optimizing the machine learning models that power our general-purpose robots.

The best candidates for this role have excellent software development and machine learning skills and hand-on experience in model deployment and optimization. You’ll be a valued contributor as you learn to automate and test model training and deployment to drive continuous improvements in our robotic systems.

About Sanctuary AI
Founded in 2018, Sanctuary builds humanoid robots and a novel control system for them that integrates symbolic logic and reasoning with data-driven robot foundation models. We use our robots to collect vision, audio, touch, and proprioception data from the perspective of the robot while they perform real-world work tasks.     • Your Experience
      Qualifications and Skills
    • Pursuing or completing a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field
    • Strong programming skills in Python
    • Experience with observability stacks such as Grafana, Splunk, or Datadog
    • Experience with training and deploying machine learning models
    • Familiarity with ML Ops platforms such as Weights & Biases or ClearML
    • Familiarity with robotics (ROS)
