The Engineering Productivity team at StreamSets is tasked with promoting a quality-first engineering culture for our developers as well as for customers. As a Software Engineer, you will work with Engineering Productivity team leadership and different development teams on our next-generation of tooling and infrastructure to help bring the benefits of DataOps to our users.

    • Work on building testing frameworks, automation, and tooling to promote a culture of quality.
    • Support the development of customer-facing products that enable users to apply DataOps best practices to their use cases.
    • Learn a huge number of enterprise software environments.
    • Collaborate with Software Development teams to provide an environment that eases development and testing of their products.
    • Experience with coding and software development, preferably with Python 3
    • Experience with scripting languages like bash
    • A passion for writing high quality code, best practices for software development and testing, and continuous learning
    • The ability to learn new technologies
    • Be able to multitask, and leverage your regular work with helping your teammates and colleagues that require assistance
    • Basic knowledge of Docker
    • Nice to have: Experience with pytest or Jenkins.
    • A BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience+
    • Experience with cloud-native technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
    • 3+ years professional experience as a software engineer
