The Role
Engineering plays an essential role in insitro’s approach to rethinking drug development, shaping the foundations of a truly data-driven and integrated drug discovery approach. We are seeking talented and highly motivated front end engineers to join our remote engineering office in Poland.
As a Front End Engineer in the team, you will:
- Work closely with a team of cross-functional scientists and engineers to identify challenges and find solutions to improve our lab data interfaces.
- Design and implement intuitive front ends for capturing, visualizing and analyzing large volumes of scientific and lab operational data such as high-content microscopy and sequencing data.
- Design and implement reusable libraries of UI components supporting our high throughput biology automation platforms.
- Use the modern web technologies, frameworks and practices that increase our scientific capabilities and/or efficiencies.
- Ensure that solutions fit appropriately into our ecosystem and that our internal user experience is coherent.
About You
In building our team, we look for people who share the collaborative, rigorous and scientific spirit of our culture. The successful candidate will possess:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science or relevant field.
- 2+ years applied software engineering experience, implementing market's best and standard practices such as testing, documentation and code reviews.
- Strong hands-on experience in HTTP, HTML, CSS, TypeScript and React.
- Skills at building reusable front end solutions for complex web applications.
- Commitment to quality, performance and durability.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to write detailed technical documents.
- Interest in science and passion for collaborating with people with diverse backgrounds and job functions.
- Neither biology nor chemistry background is required.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with scientific applications in a biotech field.
- Experience designing and implementing a high-throughput Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Experience Agile Scrum software development methodologies.
- Familiarity with web services and application frameworks such as Django or Flask.
