This role is onsite or hybrid flexible. We have offices in New York City, Northern California, and Bozeman.

If you are a Colorado applicant:
- The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $145,000 - 190,000.
If you are a NYC applicant:
- The estimated pay range for this role, based in NYC, is $160,000 - 210,000.
- For Sales positions: this role is eligible to earn commissions and eligible to participate in ASAPP's equity plan.
- For Non-Sales positions: this role is eligible to participate in ASAPP's equity plan.
The actual salary may be different depending upon non-discriminatory factors such as qualifications, experience, and other factors permitted by law.     • Develop and optimize speech modeling procedures using large-scale audio data from production systems
    • Work closely with other speech modeling researchers on implementing algorithms that power state-of-the-art machine learning systems for real-time speech applications
    • Build integrated speech application systems and perform evaluations
    • Follow and lead new research trends related to end-to-end speech modeling
    • M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or similar
    • Research and/or work experience in machine learning, deep learning, and/or speech applications including ASR, speaker / emotion recognition and TTS
    • Experience in C/C++, Python or scripting languages
    • Familiarity with at least one of deep learning toolkits such as PyTorch, Tensorflow and Kaldi/K2
    • Strong analytical / problem solving skills
    • Excellent teamwork spirit and strong communication skills
    • Proven track record of achieving results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at workshops or conferences such as NeurIPS, Interspeech, ICASSP, ASRU and SLT
    • Experience with end-to-end deep neural network research
    • Strong software engineering experience
