As a Data Source Manager for a Geospatial Analytics Company, your primary responsibility is to ensure the acquisition, ingestion, and quality of data from various sources into our analytics platform. You will work closely with data providers and vendors to negotiate contracts, track quotas, and monitor usage requirements. You will also develop and maintain relationships with these partners to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality data.

In this role, you will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of processes and tools for data discovery, extraction, transformation, and loading. You will establish data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data privacy laws. Additionally, you will collaborate with product managers and data scientists to identify data requirements and priorities for new and existing products. With your expertise in data management and your strong understanding of the needs of the business, you will help drive the success of our analytics platform and ensure that our customers have access to the high-quality data they need to make informed decisions.

    • Manage the acquisition and ingestion of new data sources into our geospatial analytics platform, including negotiating contracts and tracking quotas.
    • Ensure the quality and accuracy of incoming data through data profiling and cleansing processes and monitor usage requirements.
    • Develop and maintain processes and tools for data discovery, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various sources.
    • Establish data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data privacy laws.
    • Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to identify data requirements and priorities for new and existing products.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with data providers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality data and manage partnership relationships.
    • Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot any issues that arise, working closely with the engineering team to resolve them.
    • Manage the metadata for all data sources and ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date.
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in partnership development, contract negotiation, and business development within the geospatial analytics industry.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow partnerships with data providers and vendors.
    • Proven experience in negotiating contracts, tracking quotas, and monitoring usage requirements.
    • Strong understanding of data privacy laws, regulatory requirements, and data governance principles.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
    • Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
