As a Staff Systems Engineering – Configuration Management, you will lead Shield AI to establish and maintain consistency of a Shield AI product’s functional, performance and physical attributes. This includes establishing traceability of design requirements, configuration identification, interface documentation, operational information, and consistency in change control.

Salary Range:  Base + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)

Location guidelines-
Onsite = 5 days/week
Hybrid = Several days in the office
Remote = Remote but able to come to the office as requested for business needs

    • Lead the technical Configuration Management discipline to ensure requirements, design, development, and operational information remains consistent throughout product lifecycle
    • Represent Shield AI as the Configuration Management Lead point of contact for all customers, including US Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and international customers
    • Coordinate in a collaborative cross-functional team and support multiple products, programs, and customers
    • Utilize Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile practices to rapidly iterate and deliver consistent quality products
    • Lead the Change Control Board (CCB) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes
    • Define product lifecycle definitions and states towards product release and delivery
    • Trace specific configuration identification to capabilities, requirements, interfaces, interdependencies, and verification activities
    • Projects that you might work on: V-BAT
    • 7+ years of experience in Configuration Management or Systems Engineering related field.
    • B.S. degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline, such as Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
    • Experience with Systems Engineering practices and principals, including writing, organizing, and reviewing block diagrams.
    • You are organized and methodical.
    • You are a strong communicator, both written and verbally.
    • You have a demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others
    • Experience with SAE EIA-649-1 and MIL-HDBK-61B/C
    • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices and principles
    • Experience with Physical and Functional Configuration Audits (PCA/FCA)
    • Strong background in systems engineering and requirements management
    • Unmanned aircraft design
    • Military aviation experience
