Summer Internship in Active Prediction

Based in Southern California with locations in Malibu, Calabasas and Camarillo; HRL has been on the leading edge of technology, conducting pioneering research and advancing the state of the art.

Assist technical staff in the design, implementation and performance evaluation of machine learning and teaching algorithms applied to problems in extreme, rare and novel event predictions, security analytics, and vehicle/platform health management.

Class projects or work/internship experience in machine learning techniques applied to problems in security analytics, design optimization, and societal event predictions.

Programming experience with Python, Java, C/C++, R and/or Matlab. Experience with Apache Spark, YARN, GraphX, MapReduce or Hadoop.

Machine learning, security analytics, strong programming skills, particularly proficient with Python, Java, R, C/C++, and/or Matlab is desired.

MS, Ph.D. or pursuing a graduate degree in Computer Science, Network Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Applied Math.

Good communication, presentation and writing skills.

U.S. Person status.

Able to work 20-40 hours/week during the 2 - 4 months of assignment.

The pay range for this position $35 - $50 per hour.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires for the position.
