Team Lead, System Testing Framework

The Arene Development Platform Team’s mission is to simplify software development and increase developer agility by crafting tools and processes which enable novel uses of vehicles without compromising safety.

The System Testing Framework team is a sub-team of Development Platform, focusing on crafting testing framework tools enabling automation of Software Validation in an integrated environment. As a member of the team, you will build tools to help system engineers and test engineers with their daily work in vehicle software validation.

With a focus on global code quality and automation, your team will work closely with other specialists to improve code quality through automation to deliver software in the next generation of automotive vehicles.

Our team members are passionate about architecting well designed tools which delight developers and enable safe and seamless software development. The right candidate will have previous experience leading teams, broad knowledge of software methodologies, and excellent communication skills.

We are looking for a leader who can lead and grow our team to meet business objectives, produce improvement plans to ensure the quality of our software, and support the members of the team throughout. As part of our team, you will:

・Build and develop the team to achieve the business goals

・Run the training and development plan for team members

・Work with the management team in defining the team budget and resource plan

・Deploy and uphold standard development processes within the team to produce quality software

・Lead the team’s tools requirements analysis and elicitation

・Review and contribute in the tools architecture design and provide the needed technical support to the team

・Build and maintain the team’s products roadmap

・Manage the team’s backlog and build the needed planning for the projects milestones

・Ensure the synchronization with the different teams and partners

・Relevant professional experience in test automation and testing tools

・Prior experience leading software teams

・Knowledge of Python and Python standards

・Knowledge of testing methodologies and standard processes (e.g. BDD, TDD)

・Excellent people leadership skills

・Excellent product management skills

・Experience with software development in the automotive (or similar) industry

・Have worked on testing (and testing software)) in the automotive (or similar) industry

・Familiarity with working in a security and safety focused environment and their related standards
