TEAM
[Description of team mission and challenges, motivators]
The Toyota Woven City is a fully connected ecosystem powered by hydrogen fuel cells to be built at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. Envisioned as a ‘living laboratory’, the Woven City will serve as a home to full-time residents and researchers who will be able to test and develop technologies such as robotics, personal mobility, smart homes and artificial intelligence in a real-world environment. Woven City will be ‘ever evolving’, incorporating various types of cutting edge technologies. It is also ‘human-centric,’ and expected to keep people safe and comfortable.
Woven City’s R&D team will develop innovative products and services using technologies developed by Toyota Motor Corporation. Our mission is to:
1. Develop services and products for Woven City
2. Expand capabilities through long-term R&D
Toyota Motor Corporation has been involved in a variety of technological development in the robotics, energy, and automotive domains for a long time. Our team will leverage Toyota’s hardware expertise in these fields to create new value by developing software on top of this.
Rapid Prototyping team is a team that supports PoC activities based on requests from product teams. In many cases, these are products that we believe are worthy of being flagships in the Woven City, but have not yet established their unique value proposition. Our team helps them define their value proposition from a technical perspective, design and implement prototype software quickly for 1st PoC.
