Essential Duties:
We are seeking a motivated co-op intern for semiconductor microfabrication engineering. The engineer will work with senior staff and mentors to develop or qualify new fabrication processes for electrooptic, RF, and quantum devices, working across multiple modules (photolithography, dry etch, thin film deposition, etc). The role will have exposure to a wide range of micro-manufacturing techniques, calibration methods, metrology, and analysis methods. The engineer will work with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary research team to develop an understanding of low production volume novel research-level technology. The role requires spending up to 90% of time in a class 10 cleanroom wearing laboratory personal protective equipment.
Required Skills:
Understanding of major tool groups (lithography, dry etch, etc) and how they work, key inputs in recipe creation, basic techniques in microprocessing.
Required Education:
Pursuing a degree in Microelectronic Engineering, Electrical engineering, chemical engineering and related fields
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $22 - $35 per hour.
