Vice President of Engineering, Hardware

Sanctuary in Vancouver, BC

Your New Role and Team
In this role, you will be responsible for delivery of all hardware aspects of our products. This includes responsibility for overall delivery & execution of the hardware systems design, architecture, actuators, sensors, networking, mechanical and electrical systems for a graceful human-like bipedal general-purpose robot.

You’ll work with our VP Manufacturing to develop Design For Manufacture processes, and with our VP Software Engineering to define systems-level requirements for implementing a complex control stack, managing supply chain, budgeting, and more. Reporting to our Chief Product Officer, this is an important and demanding role requiring someone with a world-class understanding of successfully creating breakthrough transformative systems. This is an opportunity to help grow an entirely new industry that could surpass the automotive industry in size, scope, and importance.

You will work closely with Product Management, Manufacturing, Software Engineering, Customer Experience, and Business Development leaders to design, implement, and execute the processes and systems necessary to ensure that we can field a transformatively better humanoid than current state-of-the-art prototypes.
