Why we're hiring for this role:
We are seeking our first VP of Finance who brings with them strong experience leading finance at prior Series A + round startups. This is a key hire for the team that will help guide us through our next stages of growth and to ensure we are operating to our fullest potential. This role would involve the ownership of Finance as well as serve as a strategic partner to our leadership team and work with the CEO directly on forward thinking company initiatives.     • Report directly to our Co-Founder and CEO; Identify finance bottlenecks and build scalable solutions that will grow our business and market share
    • Oversee the Finance organization and work directly with our finance Director to ensure we are building the business to hit the key financial metrics desired by prospective investors
    • Align the goals and vision of all aspects of the business from a data & finance perspective while ensuring we hit critical KPIs
    • Work closely with Executive Leadership on strategic finance and financial accounting to help expand the growth of the company and provide key insights
    • Collaborate with our leadership team to scale the business consistently and allocate budgets across relevant functions to boost efficiency, growth, and profitability
    • Project manage new and existing operational initiatives with stakeholders across the business (leadership, sales, engineer, product, etc.)
    • Drive process improvement efforts and refine existing processes to maximize company value
    • 3+ years of finance leadership work at high growth startup or growing tech environment (preferably across 1+ Series A + funded startup or more)
    • Strong finance related experience and knowledge within a growth stage company
    • Track record of success in building new finance processes and an ability to work through ambiguity
    • Demonstrated ability to evaluate new product opportunities by bringing internal stakeholders and existing and new partners together
    • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and fix problems in a hands-on manner when needed
    • Experience using data to analyze performance and drive strategic decision making
    • Proven capabilities in evaluating operational gaps and weaknesses
