📍London / UK Remote | 💰 Flexible on compensation + Benefits
About us:
We’re here to make money work for everyone and we're doing things differently. For too long, banking has been obtuse, complex and opaque.
We want to change that and build a bank with everyone, for everyone. Our amazing community suggests features, test the app and give us constant feedback so we can build something everyone loves.
We're focused on solving problems, rather than selling financial products. We want to make the world a better place and change people's lives through Monzo.
About the role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic VP of Product for Growth to join our team at Monzo. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our product strategy for growth. Over time this will become a standalone team that reports directly into the CPO.
As a VP of Product for Growth, you must guide your team from opinions and beliefs to objective truth. You must have exceptional ability and a strong desire to simply seek the truth. To be the most objective and rigorous member of the organisation. To have the most accurate picture of reality; to understand what works and what doesn't.
What you’ll be working on:
- Develop and execute a product strategy for product growth, focused on identifying and prioritising opportunities for growth and innovation
- Together with our Chief Product Officer, you will create a clear vision for how our growth loops should work in our UK products and as we scale internationally. You’ll also be working in very close collaboration with our marketing teams who drive customer acquisition.
- You will be responsible for activating customers, engagement, retention, and cross selling across our fast-increasing portfolio of products and services - from Flex to Premium to customers opening their first pot.
- You will ideate and execute growth products and features that will drive new customer growth for Monzo and increasing our user engagement (retention & frequency)
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organisation, including marketing, data, operations, to ensure alignment and support for growth initiatives
- Identify and evaluate potential partnerships, acquisitions, and tooling to support growth
- Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert on product-led growth, sharing insights and knowledge with the team and broader organisation
You should apply if:
- You’ve got a 10+ years track record of growing successful, customer-centric digital products in a fast growing technology company
- You have the ability to communicate clearly, in a structured way, and persuasively to a wide range of audiences
- You have the urge and resilience to challenge the status quo and make things better
- You can systematically break down and then solve complex problems (for customers and the business)
- You have a proven track record in mobile user activation and monetization, with extensive know-how in pricing, bundling, tiering, and subscription models.
- You have a proven track record in mobile user activation and engagement, with extensive know-how in activation loops, product engagement and loyalty models, and product cross-sell.
- Advanced knowledge of experimentation stacks.
- You’re data driven, commercially savvy, passionate about metrics, and intellectually honest about how your work is performing -- and driven to continuously improve it.
- You’re comfortable working in a deeply collaborative, highly technical team
- You’re passionate about learning every day and sharing your knowledge and experience every day.
- What we’re doing here at Monzo excites you!
The Interview Process:
Our interview process involves 3 main stages:
- Recruiter Call (30 mins) - Once you apply, if your application is aligned, one of our Hiring team will reach out to you for an introductory conversation.
- Initial Chat (45 mins) - This will be an introductory conversation with one of our Product leaders.
- Product Loop (3 hours) - This stage consists of 3 separate interviews that usually happen across 1-2 days. This will be made up of a Project Walkthrough, a Case Study, and a Leadership Interview.
