Based in Southern California with locations in Malibu, Calabasas and Camarillo; HRL has been on the leading edge of technology, conducting pioneering research and advancing the state of the art.

We are seeking a motivated and organized Engineer to join our existing Post Processing team.

Essential Duties:
Hands-on fabrication and processing of III-V materials (GaAs, InP, GaN, etc.) and various compound semiconductor material in the area of post processing advanced GaN, HBT and HEMT devices and circuits. Troubleshoot process and tool related issues and develop solutions. Design and execution of experiments, record and analyze data. Summarize results, and present options and recommendations to HRL project, line management and customers.

Required Skills:
Experience and skills in backside processing of semiconductor devices and circuits. Experience should include processing expertise with wafer mounting, wafer thinningĀ  (lapping, polishing, grinding, CMP, etc.), wafer dicing (laser scribing, dicing, scribe and break, etc.), die separation, picking and inspection. Candidates should possess a proven track record of developing novel and successful solutions to complex technical issues. Should also have knowledge of semiconductor processing with a focus in backside wafer processing and die separation. Strong observation and oral documentation skills; Ability to develop and maintain statistical process control (SPC) charts; knowledge in data plotting using Excel, JMP or similar tools; Strong general skills with office productivity software such as MS Excel, PowerPoint and MS word. Must be a self-starter and work
with little supervision. Be a strong team player with a positive attitude.

Desired Skills:
Knowledge of AutoCAD is a definite plus.

Required Education:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related fields or a minimum of five to ten
years equivalent experience.

Special Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship is required. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required. Position may be for 1st (6 am to 3:00 pm) or 2nd shift (12:00pm-8:30pm). Ability to work
flexible hours is a definite plus.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $60,000 - $101,000 + bonus + benefits.
